Century City has some real hidden assets, like the Central Park. On the last Sunday of every month, they hold a Natural Goods market in Central Park. The Natural Goods market consists of artisan goods, fresh produce, hand made quality crafts, healthy gourmet meals, draught beer, bubbly and organic wine.

To keep the little ones busy they lay on some outstanding kiddies entertainment, this month there was the popular train rides and slithering snakes, huge big pythons and it was a hands on education for the children. The pythons slithered among them and the children seemed intrigued with many of them actually touching the snakes. Not for me thank you very much.

The market also provided live music with the band “The Time Flies” who call themselves an Afro Country Ska Funk Band, loud and funky music for all the enthusiasts.

It was a beautiful day out and the public seemed to be enjoying themselves, sitting on the grass with a glass of some refreshment listening to the music.

For the rest of the year -
Sunday 28th October 2012, Music will be by Manouche a Gypsy Jazz Band and Afrodizzyacts, entertainment by stilt walkers.

Sunday 25th November 2012, Music will be by the Dave Knowles band, Acoustic Folk and The Incredible Dog Show by Dogzcool.

It was a lovely day and thoroughly enjoyable, with good food, (and we even managed to find Mauritian Mazavaroo, which I have been searching for, for years) and a lively atmosphere, you should go and try it out. There was good signage up so it was easy to find.
